Ahmad Khan is a seasoned business professional, infrastructure expert and investor and is currently Head of Corporate Development at Acumen Pakistan, a leading global impact venture capital fund based in New York City.
Over a career spanning 13 years, Ahmad has been employed or acted as an advisor on 3 continents to some of the world’s most admired corporations and public sector organizations, including 10 of the Fortune 50, McKinsey and Company, Standard Life Capital Partners, Fidelity Investments, Acumen, the City of Toronto, various agencies of the Government of Pakistan and a variety of global multi-lateral organizations. Ahmad also serves as an advisor to the Pakistan Green Building Council (PakGBC) and has spoken on emerging markets, energy and leadership at student led conferences at both Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
Ahmad is the founding partner and former MD of InterConstruct Private Limited (ICL), a leading infrastructure business in Pakistan.
At ICL, Ahmad was instrumental in winning and executing numerous landmark projects of critical national importance. His experience includes serving on the Executive Committee of the Mangla Joint Venture, the international consortium tasked with completing the $300 M Raising of Mangla Dam, spearheading the development of the $200 M InterGen thermal power project and the current $100 M re-development of the Margalla Towers site in Islamabad. In all, Ahmad has been involved with $1 B worth of infrastructure projects in South-Asia, Europe and North America.
Ahmad takes a keen interest in Pakistan’s politics and has managed three parliamentary campaigns in 2002, 2008 and 2013 respectively.
Ahmad holds a degree in civil/environmental engineering from the George Washington University and an MBA from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford where he was on a Professional Management Scholarship at Green Templeton College
