Virgilio es Director para Latinoam\u00e9rica de Acumen donde tiene a su cargo la totalidad de las operaciones en Am\u00e9rica Latina. Tambi\u00e9n es cofundador y Socio Gestor de ALIVE (Acumen Latam Impact Ventures), un gestor de fondos de impacto l\u00edder en Am\u00e9rica Latina. Anteriormente ocup\u00f3 cargos en el sector privado (Citibank, Booz Allen Hamilton), sector p\u00fablico (Ministerio de Hacienda de Colombia y Secretar\u00eda de Planeaci\u00f3n de Bogot\u00e1) y sector sin \u00e1nimo de lucro (Invest in Bogota y Banca de Inversi\u00f3n Social). Es cofundador de Colombia Diversa, organizaci\u00f3n l\u00edder defensora de los derechos de la poblaci\u00f3n LGBTQI+ en Colombia.
