Eddah Mburu

Eddah Mburu is a Senior Associate on Acumen’s Portfolio team in Nairobi, where she leads pipeline development, due diligence, and portfolio strategy. She plays a key role in sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting financial and impact assessments, negotiating deal terms, and supporting investees through hands-on value creation. Eddah also helps strengthen Acumen’s presence and partnerships across East Africa to advance its mission in the region.

Before transitioning into investments, Eddah spent over a decade building deep expertise in finance, audits, compliance, and financial management. She previously served as Finance and Compliance Lead at Soko Inc. and held earlier roles at Hempel Group and Samsung Electronics.

With a background that bridges accounting and investing, Eddah brings a unique blend of financial discipline and strategic insight helping her support businesses with both precision and purpose. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance.
