Jorge de Angulo

Jorge is the Director of Acumen Latin America. Since joining Acumen in 2019, he has overseen investments, portfolio management, and operations.

Before joining Acumen Jorge was a Senior Investment Officer with Accion International, based out of Cambridge MA. His responsibilities included analysis, due diligence and deal execution for debt and equity transactions in microfinance institutions (MFIs). In terms of portfolio management, Jorge oversaw the MFI investments for Accion in Latin America and represented the organization as a Director on several boards. Prior to joining Accion, Jorge worked for a small venture capital firm in Miami. He also has experience working for Citibank Colombia, where he held increasing responsibilities as a credit analyst and relationship manager.

Jorge graduated from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia with a bachelor’s degree in economics and completed a master’s degree in international economic policy from American University in Washington, D.C.
