Laura Gómez Almansa

Laura joined Acumen in 2021 and, as the Fellowship Manager, she oversees the end-to-end Fellowship experience across all regions. Laura supports and guides our diverse regional teams by project managing their Fellows’ annual cohort recruitment, selection, transition to program delivery, and cohort graduation processes, providing general oversight, maintaining consistency and alignment, and sharing best practices while fostering efficiencies across teams and ensuring that all systems and platforms operate consistently and reliably.

Laura coordinates global Fellowship operations, closely engaging with all stakeholders and optimizing and streamlining processes in alignment with Acumen Academy’s strategic priorities. In addition to her role at Acumen, she holds a Master’s degree in Educational Institutions Management from Universidad de La Sabana in Bogotá.

Prior to joining Acumen, Laura worked as a project manager at a multi-Latin retail company and has been involved in various education-related projects in both the public and private sectors. In these roles, she led initiatives that served vulnerable communities, adults, young women, and children with a focus on inclusion, entrepreneurship, and spiritual and social-emotional well-being. Laura also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from CESA Business School in Bogotá.
