Sam Jewett

As ESG Manager, Sam supports ESG methodology and reporting across Acumen’s GCF-funded projects, sponsored funds, and pioneer portfolio. Sam has global ESG and impact investing experience across asset classes and sectors and working with institutional funders. Most recently, as a Research and Compliance Associate, Sam collected and managed ESG, impact, and compliance data for TruFund Financial Service, to create thriving and resilient small businesses and entrepreneurial ecosystems to close racial and economic disparities. Prior to Trufund, Sam supported impact investor Sonen Capital with ESG and impact due diligence, research, and analysis.

Previously, Sam managed out-of-school programs at Saint Paul Public Schools, developing partnerships between social enterprises and programs across the district to improve academic outcomes for over 2,000 students. As a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco, he partnered with local and international organizations and businesses to build community resources and educational opportunities for youth across the country. Sam holds a Master of Public Administration degree focusing on Social Impact, Innovation, and Investment from NYU Wagner and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Child Development from Vanderbilt University.
