Eric Carroll

As the Risk and Compliance Manager, Eric works with Acumen’s legal team to ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and those of our funders across each of the organization’s entities and various geographic locations. Previously, Eric worked at Acceso and the Clinton Foundation serving as Associate Director of Agribusiness. In that role, Eric provided commercial oversight for the organization’s portfolio in Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on Colombia and Haiti (where he lived between 2015 and 2017).

Prior to working with Acceso, Eric served as country director of a small American NGO working in the education sector, Team Tobatí, in Tobatí, Paraguay for +2 years. Following this experience, Eric worked briefly for the micro-finance organization, Fundación Paraguaya, in Asunción, Paraguay. Eric holds a Master of Arts in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Boston College. He is fluent in Spanish and Haitian Creole.
