Moyin Johnson

Moyin serves as Program Director for Green RISE Africa at Acumen, a five-year partnership with the Mastercard Foundation designed to accelerate climate-smart entrepreneurship and create meaningful employment opportunities for youth across 15 sub-Saharan African countries. In this role, she leads the strategic direction of a four-pillar program that supports enterprise growth, leadership development, investment acceleration, and systems-level change, guiding a team of over 40 across Africa and global operations.

Before this role, Moyin led Acumen Academy West Africa, running a six-month moral leadership fellowship, cultivating a community of social impact leaders, and providing technical advisory support and grant capital to strengthen early-stage enterprises across the region. Her leadership and commitment to social change led to her own selection as an Acumen Academy West Africa Fellow in 2022.

Before joining Acumen, Moyin built a career at the intersection of consulting, government, and development finance. She served as a Senior Management Consultant at Deloitte, where she led advisory services for private and public sector projects, including the concept development of a multi-billion-dollar eco-industrial park. As a Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State, she designed financing programs for grassroots women entrepreneurs and led initiatives to combat sexual and gender-based violence. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant in the Gender and Civil Society Department of the African Development Bank, supporting project development, fundraising, execution, and gender mainstreaming across sectors such as education, infrastructure, and healthcare.

Moyin holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB, Honors) from SOAS, University of London. She is a qualified legal practitioner, called to the Nigerian Bar in 2014.

Outside of work, Moyin enjoys traveling and has visited over 35 countries. She is passionate about her faith and cherishes quality time with her family and friends.
