Bianca Javate

In her role, Bianca focuses on external communications – working alongside the Communications Director to shape the content and social media of the CEO.


Before Acumen, she was involved in the media and communications space within the world of sports: covering basketball, volleyball and Formula 1 for a sports publication, doing sideline reporting for a collegiate sports league, working for a women’s sports startup, and interning for a WNBA team. She has also written for several local and international publications, most notably Vogue. Aside from working in sports and publishing, she had marketing stints in global CPG brands – including Red Bull and Coca-Cola Beverages.


She grew up in the Philippines and got her Bachelor’s degree in Communications Technology Management from the Ateneo de Manila University. She later moved to the US, where she earned her Master’s degree in Journalism (with a specialization in Sports Media and Business) from Northwestern University.


Currently residing in New York, she loves watching live games, particularly tennis and ice hockey.
