Charles joined Acumen in January 2025 as the Head of Impact for Hardest-to-Reach, Acumen’s energy access initiative. His prior role was at British International Investment (BII), the UK’s Development Finance Institution, as part of the Development Impact Team within Financial Services. Charles began his career at Standard Chartered Bank before roles at Mastercard, Business Fights Poverty and Talmar Sustainable Investments.
Charles holds a bachelor’s degree in politics from the University of Cardiff, an MBA from GIBS in South Africa, and an MSc in Poverty Reduction from SOAS.
