Irene D’Souza

Irene is an Investments Senior Associate in East Africa. She is responsible for the end-to-end investment process including deal sourcing, deal origination, due diligence, deal structuring, closing, and post-investment monitoring and support.

Irene has several years of experience spanning investing and is passionate about impactful investments. She is dedicated to using patient capital to foster positive social and environmental impact, steadfast in her mission to foster a fairer and more sustainable future, and actively pursuing investments aimed at solving problems of poverty.

Previously, she has worked as an Investment Officer in the Impact Investment space, undertaking the investment process across the entire investment deal cycle, thereby de-risking early and growth stage impactful and inclusive businesses. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from The University of Nairobi, a Master of Science degree in Finance (Finance and Investments) from The University of Nairobi and has passed CFA level one exams.
