Ishita Dutta

As the Manager of the India Fellows Program, Ishita steers strategy and oversees operations of the India Fellowship. As a facilitator and coach to social innovators in the fellowship, she builds cultural, community, and moral leadership skills to amplify their leadership.
Ishita began her career as a cadet in the Indian army and later joined Teach For India, where she spent a decade working for education equity. From teaching students of low-income groups, training teachers, leading whole school transformation projects, co-creating social-emotional learning curricula with state governments in India, she also spent 4 years travelling to diverse, hard to reach regions, coaching social entrepreneurs under Teach For India’s in-house incubation program TFIx.
Ishita has a keen interest in the impact of systems on the well-being of communities and achieved a diploma in Narrative Practices from Narrative Practices India in 2022. She is deeply moved by the impact of contemporary politics, holds an Honours degree in Political Science from Calcutta University and has taught politics to international students.
