Ismail Saliu

Ismail is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Stockbroker with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Kogi State University.
He is a Senior Investment Associate on the Acumen West Africa team and has over five years of experience across financial advisory and investment management. Before joining Acumen, he worked as an Assistant Manager at Ernst & Young (EY) Transactions Advisory within the West Africa team, where he led teams of associates on capital-raising transactions, valuations, and financial due diligence engagements across the renewable energy, manufacturing, agriculture, healthcare, and FMCG sectors. 

Ismail is driven by his deep passion for creating positive social impact. This passion led him to found the Young Professionals & Emerging Leaders (YPEL) platform, through which he provides free training to over 50 young professionals in project and corporate financial modeling.

As a member of the Investment and Portfolio team, he leverages his financial modeling and financial due diligence expertise to aid in the investment process and ensure well-informed investment decisions are executed.

Outside of his professional life, Ismail enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, playing FIFA on PlayStation, and is a loyal Arsenal supporter.
