Kevin Kipchirchir joined Acumen in 2026 as Program Legal Associate for East Africa, where he provides legal support to Acumen’s work in East Africa and Green RISE Africa (Resilient Impact through Sustainable Entrepreneurship), a five-year program led by Acumen in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. He provides legal support across all programme activities including Compliance, Programme Process Implementation, Contract Review, Deal Documentation & Coordination, and Project Management.

Before joining Acumen, Kevin served as an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial Department at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr Incorporated where he advised clients in East, South and Western Africa including listed companies, venture capitalists, private equity firms, impact investors, multi-national companies and tech-enabled businesses. Kevin holds an LLB from Kabarak University and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

Kevin has also previously worked for Heinrich Böll Stiftung, examining legislative and policy frameworks put in place in Kenya before and after the promulgation of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 to enhance the inclusion of minorities and marginalised groups in governance, and is a Dream VC Fellow, 2024.
