As the Acumen Fellows Program, Senior Associate, Lara works to deliver the India Fellowship and support the recruitment process. Being an Acumen Fellow herself (2022), she aspires to bring her lived experience of the fellowship to the fellows while helping fellows unleash their full potential by driving authenticity & supporting them in adapting to their own moral leadership journeys.

As a counseling psychologist & a social worker, she is passionate about mental health & driving self-awareness. Lara has been working in the development sector leading design, capacity building & implementation of multiple large-scale grass-root level programs focused on Social Behaviour Change Communication across rural & tribal regions throughout India on Water & Sanitation during her stint with Tata Trusts; wherein, she also initiated and scaled the Menstrual Hygiene Management program to 12 states.

Lara has also been part of the leadership team at Uninhibited, leading design and innovation on Menstrual & Sexual Reproductive health, while also anchoring the leadership journey within the Period Fellowship. Lara holds a postgraduate diploma in liberal studies from Ashoka University as a Young India Fellow. She has completed her Masters in Social Work in Counselling from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Lara is a certified Counsellor & Transactional Analysis Therapist; and has also specialised in Human-Centred Design from Johns Hopkins University.
