Laura Gómez Almansa

Laura joined Acumen in 2021 and as the Fellowship Senior Associate, she oversees the Fellowship Operations across all regions. Laura supports and guides our diverse regional teams by project managing their Fellows’ annual cohort Recruitment and Selection processes plus the transition to the Fellowship year one by sharing best practices and improving efficiencies across teams. In addition to her role at Acumen, she is a master’s candidate in Educational Institutions Management from Universidad de la Sabana.

Prior to joining Acumen, Laura worked as a project manager in a multi-Latin retail company and has been involved in various education-related projects in both the public and private sectors. In those, she lead initiatives that served vulnerable communities, adults, young women, and children with a focus on inclusion, entrepreneurship, and spiritual and social-emotional well-being. Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from CESA Business School in Bogotá.
