Luan Mans

Luan is an Associate Director at Acumen, within the Impact team, where he works across functions and investment funds to build and implement impact practices, systems, and insights across the investment cycle. His work ensures that Acumen not only measures and manages its impact effectively but also strengthens its strategies to maximize impact in the future.

With over 25 years lived experience in Africa, Luan brings deep regional insight to his work. Prior to Acumen, he worked as a development consultant, specializing in understanding and mitigating the risks associated with land-based investments. He also contributed to designing and developing of project proposals for the Green Climate Fund.

Luan has experience working on projects spanning across Sub-Saharan Africa, Central America, and Southeast Asia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
