Mercedes leads strategic partnerships that advance Acumen’s global work at the intersection of climate and poverty. In this role, she engages foundations, corporations, governments, and investors to mobilize capital for businesses and solutions serving climate-vulnerable communities. Mercedes drives the development and execution of Acumen’s climate strategy, elevating the organization’s leadership in the climate, clean energy and impact investing ecosystems.

Before joining Acumen in 2020, Mercedes spent four years working in Buenos Aires at the Techint Group, one of Latin America’s largest industrial groups operating globally across energy, steel and infrastructure. As an Institutional Relations Coordinator, she managed public affairs, corporate sustainability, and communications, working closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders across the public and private sectors.

Mercedes holds a Master of Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia University as a Fulbright Scholar, and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universidad de San Andrés.
