Millycent Aoko

Milly is an Investment Manager in East Africa, and is responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence and post-investment monitoring and support. She has over 13 years of experience spanning impact investing, business advisory, corporate finance and transaction advisory services, and grants management mainly in Eastern Africa. Her experience has been across various sectors including conservation tourism, agribusiness, education, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, renewable energy, and infrastructure.

Previously, Milly was an Associate Investment Director at Thirdway Partners, where she led investment processes within the Africa Conservation and Community Tourism (ACCT) Fund, focusing on impact debt financing. Before this, she served as a Service Delivery Model (SDM) Manager at IDH The Sustainable Trade Initiative, leading engagements with multinationals and African enterprises to enhance the commercial and social sustainability of their smallholder sourcing strategies. She also worked as a manager, Deal Advisory, and as a senior grants associate at KPMG Advisory Services Ltd.

Milly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from The University of Nairobi. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Outside of work, Milly volunteers as a Board Member at the African Foundation for Women and Youth in Sciences, Technology & Innovation and the Diamond Africa Leadership Foundation.
