Moyin Okubor

Moyin Okubor is the Manager for Acumen Academy in West Africa. She steers the strategic direction and oversees the operations of the fellows program, community-building endeavors, and overall growth initiatives for the academy in the region. With over 9 years of experience in project management, advisory services, strategic communications and fostering partnerships, Moyin utilizes her diverse skill set and extensive network to cultivate a thriving ecosystem of social impact leaders in West Africa.

Prior to joining Acumen, Moyin served as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche, where she led advisory services for private and public sector projects, including the concept development of a multi-billion dollar eco-industrial park. Previously, as a Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State, she spearheaded financing programs for grassroots women entrepreneurs and implemented initiatives to combat sexual and gender-based violence. Moyin also worked as a consultant in the Gender and Civil Society Department of the African Development Bank, on project development/fundraising, execution, and gender mainstreaming across sectors such as education, infrastructure, and healthcare.

Moyin’s leadership skills and commitment to social change led to her selection as an Acumen Academy West Africa Fellow in 2022. She holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an LLB Law (Honors) from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She was also called to the Nigerian Bar Association in 2014.

Outside of work, Moyin enjoys traveling and has visited over 35 countries. She is passionate about her faith and cherishes quality time with her family and friends.
