Mwalya supports programmatic initiatives across East and West Africa by strengthening data systems, processes, and reporting that inform strategic decision-making and impact measurement. He supports the coordination of program-related data collection and validation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across regional portfolios.

He works closely with program and portfolio teams to develop and refine data collection frameworks, metrics, and tracking tools that enhance data quality and streamline reporting. His work contributes to improving operational effectiveness and advancing evidence-based program management across Acumen’s investments.

Before joining Acumen, he worked at the Kenya Climate Innovation Center (KCIC), supporting data analysis, reporting, and the design of project data systems. He also previously managed project operations for the Sustainable Urban Economic Programme (SUED) at KCIC Consulting Limited.

He holds a master’s degree in economics (Econometrics) and a bachelor’s degree in economics and Statistics from Kenyatta University and is currently pursuing the CPA qualification.
