Oghenekome Oruade

Kome is the Global Program Manager for Acumen Angels, an exclusive program for Acumen Foundry entrepreneurs providing earliest-stage capital to for-profit and nonprofit solutions tackling some of the world’s toughest challenges. Until recently, she led Acumen Academy in West Africa, growing the foundry to a community of 110 Fellows. Before joining Acumen, Kome worked as an Associate Consultant (Fellow) at the Mastercard Foundation on the Young-Africa-Works Project which focused on enabling 30 million youths across Africa to access dignified work by 2030. Until 2018, she was the Chief Executive Officer of The Write House. A qualified legal practitioner and arbitrator, Kome was a Partner at Assizes Lawfirm. She holds an MBA from the Lagos Business School.
