Ruth Wairimu

Ruth is the manager responsible for the Acumen East Africa Education Facility and advises on education investments. She is responsible for the end-to-end investment process including deal origination, screening, deal structuring, investment underwriting, and closing documentation.

Before Acumen, Ruth worked with Optimizer Foundation closing Pre-Seed and Seed investments in Edtech and Healthtech primarily in East Africa. Before that, she was at Energy Access Ventures (now E3 Capital), focusing on investments in decentralized renewable energy assets across Africa. Ruth began her career in Corporate and Investment Banking at Standard Bank Group.
