Sohel Shikari

Sohel Shikari is an accomplished business executive and entrepreneur specializing in food, consumer goods, and venture consulting. He co-founded Desert Bloom Food Ventures, where he currently serves as Co-CEO. Sohel previously spent nearly two decades as co-founder and Chief Financial Officer at Preferred Brands/Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd, a leading ready-to-eat foods company that was eventually sold to Mars Incorporated.

Prior to that he was a Founder at ASG-Omni LLC, a cross-border entry strategy and advisory firm where he worked on several food and technology start-ups in India including Tejas Networks Limited. He began his career with Goldman Sachs and has experience in global finance and controls. He currently serves as a director, board observer and advisor to several companies both in the United States and India and is also an active Angel investor. He serves on the board of Grasper Global India (Skillmatics), Beyond Good and Hungry Harvest and is a trustee of the CSTEP (Center for Science, Technology and Engineering Policy) Trust, a think-tank located in Bengaluru.
