Victor Thirima

Victor Thirima is a Senior Associate, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning with Acumen East Africa, responsible for MEL delivery on Green RISE Africa. His work covers the programme’s reporting calendar, evaluation design and logistics, and MEL documentation across the portfolio, working with Acumen’s Impact team and with programme partners in East and West Africa.

Before Acumen, Victor worked at 60 Decibels, where he led impact measurement projects using the Lean Data approach. He designed and ran these studies to help companies understand who they were reaching, how well their products or services were serving those users, and what they could do better. His work spanned financial inclusion, off-grid energy, and agriculture, and he was part of the core team behind the 2023 and 2024 Microfinance Index reports.

Victor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colgate University and a Master of Business Administration from United States International University-Africa.
