Wangechi Chomba

Wangechi Chomba is an Operations and Logistics Analyst at Acumen, where she supports the Acumen Academy East Africa. Her role focuses on ensuring operational excellence, and driving smooth execution of initiatives across both the fellowship and the foundry.


With over four years of experience in the education and sexual reproductive health sectors, Wangechi has worked across East Africa with a range of organizations focused on youth empowerment, women’s health, and community-led development. Prior to joining Acumen, she served as an Alumni Relations Associate at ALX, where she led community engagement efforts and supported alumni as they transitioned into the world of work. One of the most impactful projects she worked on at ALX was the in-person onboarding that brought together over 5,000 learners from across Nairobi. This was the first-ever in-person onboarding and she was able to coordinate her team and deliver a stellar experience. She also has a strong track record in program coordination, stakeholder management, and event logistics.


Wangechi is deeply committed to creating systems that help teams thrive and to contributing meaningfully to spaces where social impact and operational excellence intersect. She brings thoughtfulness, structure, and a people-centered approach to every team she’s a part of.
