Lucia Ferrarese

As a Senior Associate for Acumen Academy, Lucia manages the daily operations and supports the implementation of learning programs. She joined Acumen in 2020 to collaborate with the regional Fellows Program teams on the implementation of their Fellowship selection processes across 9 geographies.

Lucia’s prior experience in the government and nonprofit sectors, as well as her academic experience, have defined her interest in social change. Prior to joining Acumen, Lucia worked at Environmental Defense Fund, where she was responsible for team coordination, project and event management, and supporting program operations. At the same time, she served as a part-time teaching associate at Columbia University for over 2 years, providing academic support for graduate-level courses in conflict resolution. Lucia’s career began as a junior legal counsel in Argentina, supporting the implementation of government programs in the most needed areas of the country.

Lucia holds a master’s degree in negotiation and conflict resolution from Columbia University, and a law degree from University of Buenos Aires (Argentina).
