Valentina joined Acumen Academy as a Data & Systems Associate. Prior to Acumen, Valentina worked as a Sanctions Specialist at the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing operation of Scotiabank, providing detailed risk-based analysis by identifying unusual patterns of international transactions and evaluating KYC information. Before that, she was a Finance and Management intern at UNHCR (the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees).
In 2018 Valentina graduated in International Business Management from Universidad del Rosario and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing for B2B from the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Steyr. In 2021 she also obtained a Financial Management Specialization degree at Universidad de los Andes.
