Eman is the Communications Associate for Acumen’s Pakistan office. Before joining Acumen, she served as a Senior Analyst at Pakistan Textile Council (PTC), where she played a pivotal role in securing Pakistan’s GSP+ extension, liaising with international trade institutions, and developing a Human Rights Due Diligence code of conduct for the textile sector in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program.

Prior to her work at PTC, Eman worked as the Lead Economist for Pakistan’s largest textile association (APTMA) and authored over 50 economic analysis articles in Business Recorder. Her writing not only shaped the narrative surrounding the textile sector in Pakistan but also challenged stereotypes, fostering broader understanding among diverse stakeholders. Her journey encompasses significant development sector experience, particularly in youth development, climate action, and human rights, with organizations such as the United States Institute of Peace and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit. In addition to her research expertise, she has strong communication and liaison skills, having represented Pakistan’s textile sector at the highest levels of government as well as in the EU region as a sourcing destination of choice.

Eman holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
