As Associate Director of Investing in Energy Access, Chris advises Acumen’s work on universal energy access, supporting Acumen’s regional offices to have the greatest impact on SDG7.
Prior to joining Acumen in 2022, Chris developed new products to bring energy and financial services to low-income customers across Africa. Most recently he worked with Paga in Nigeria, and prior to this was based in Uganda with Engie Energy Access.
Chris’ focus on energy access began during his postgraduate studies, where his research explored the application of novel solar energy technologies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Edinburgh and a PhD from Imperial College London.
