Dan Waldron

As Director of Insights, Dan collaborates with Acumen’s teams around the world to identify lessons from our activities and use them to make ourselves and our partners more effective in solving problems of poverty.

He and his team focus on understanding the combinations of business models, capital, ecosystem, and character that lead to sustainable solutions.

Prior to joining Acumen in 2020, Dan spent five years working with the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor, a research center at the World Bank, where he focused on finance for energy and livelihoods. Dan holds a master’s degree from The New School, and a bachelor’s degree from New York University.

He is also a former Peace Corps Volunteer, having served in Tanzania from 2010 to 2012.
