Emily Fagundes

As the Events Senior Associate on the Development and Partnerships team, Emily leads the planning and execution of high-impact events that amplify Acumen’s mission across our Partner community and the broader social impact ecosystem.

Emily previously managed Acumen’s West Coast fundraising operations, supporting the team’s donor cultivation and stewardship through research, data management, and the coordination of local events in the California Bay Area. Prior to Acumen, Emily honed her skills in the nonprofit and social impact sectors where she played key roles in donor relations, content creation, and program development. Emily has had the privilege of collaborating with active and aspiring social entrepreneurs across the globe. She co-created business solutions with community-based social enterprises in rural Rwanda, led the development of a digital storytelling and impact reporting training program for early-stage entrepreneurs in East and Central Africa, supported the execution of an action research fellowship that partnered university students with social enterprises across Africa, Asia, and North America, and managed a prize competition recognizing young social innovators in California.

Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Santa Clara University where she received the Leavey School of Business Service Award, a distinction presented to a graduating student who exemplifies the mission of the School of Business and Santa Clara University by significantly impacting student life and/or the greater community through personal service.
