Heartie Look-Dougherty

As Development & Partnerships Manager, Heartie works across business development to help manage and amplify the Acumen Next program as well as Acumen’s small to medium-sized supporters. Heartie has worked for over 10 years at the nexus of social and environmental impact via stakeholder engagement, fundraising, partnerships, and marketing communications.

In most recent years she created live programs and managed external relations for social impact startup NationSwell, grew and secured marketing partnerships for Conservation International, and led and evaluated water and sanitation projects in Nicaragua and Argentina through which she leveraged her fluency in Spanish.

Heartie holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Development from The New School for which she received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Environmental Studies from Pitzer College.
