As a Grants Management Associate on the Development & Partnerships Operations team, Josie facilitates the team’s key grant processes including donor engagement, building partnerships, and writing grant proposals and reports. She serves as the team’s knowledge holder and works cross-functionally with Acumen’s programs, communications, legal, and finance departments.
Prior to Acumen, Josie led field operations for a startup nonprofit that connected smallholder farmers with fair produce markets in Northern Uganda. She has a passion for engaging with rural communities and strategizing on how business can help alleviate poverty.
Josie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University, with a Bachelor of Science in Human & Organizational Development and two minors in Business and Political Science.
