Our impact in Southeast Asia
For over 17 years, Acumen’s Fellowship has equipped extraordinary individuals working on problems of poverty with the knowledge, skills, and community to strengthen their leadership and scale their impact.
In Southeast Asia, we launched our first Fellowship in Malaysia in 2020, thanks to the support of YTL Foundation as our founding partner. Since then, an expanded network of support has enabled numerous Accelerator programs in Vietnam and across Southeast Asia, nurturing leaders tackling challenges in agriculture, healthcare, education, climate action, and more. To date, nine cohorts of leaders have completed the Fellowship and Accelerator programs, culminating in the inaugural Southeast Asia Fellowship in 2024 – a moment that brought together years of development, partnerships, and community-building into a truly regional platform.
Today, our Foundry alumni unite leaders from Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and beyond, cultivating a connected, collaborative community of social innovators united in tackling poverty across Southeast Asia.
